NH Governor John Lynch Nominates Carol Ann Conroy to State Supreme Court


According to a recent article by the Union Leader, Governor John Lynch as nominated Carol Ann Conboy of Bow to replace Justice Richard Galway on the State Supreme Court.

"As a Superior Court Judge Carol Ann Conboy has distinguished herself through her judicial temperament and in-depth knowledge of the law, more than proving her qualifications," Gov. Lynch said. "She has a diverse background, and brings to the courtroom a fair and balanced approach and an unwavering commitment to justice."

Her nomination must still be confirmed by the Executive Council

Superior Court Justice Conboy to Receive Achievement Award


October 8, 2008-- The New Hampshire Women's Bar Association (NHWBA) has selected the Honorable Carol Ann Conboy to receive the 2008 Marilla M. Ricker Achievement Award. The award will be given to Judge Conboy at the NHWBA's annual Fall Reception on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, which will be held at the Centennial Inn in Concord from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

The achievement award, which is named in honor of Marilla M. Ricker, the first woman to apply for admission to the New Hampshire bar, honors outstanding women lawyers in New Hampshire who have achieved professional excellence or paved the way to success for other women lawyers or advanced opportunities for women in the profession or performed exemplary public service on behalf of women.

Judge Conboy was nominated for this award for the many achievements she has accomplished in her career, which began as a federal court law clerk and continued as an associate and then partner in McLane, Graf, Raulerson and Middleton, where she concentrated on employment law litigation. She was appointed to the Superior Court bench by Governor Judd Gregg in 1992.
